Lloret de Mar

Is a town located in the province of Girona, situated just 75 kilometers distant with the huge Barcelona. Despite Lloret is not a big town(its extension is 48 square kilometers) is visited by thousands of tourist every year.

Lloret de Mar emphasizes for its beautiful beaches, with a almost tropical weather, clear water and white sand. This city is intended for turism. Lloret has got a big variety of accomodation, which are close to the sea. If you don't know which beach to choose, we inform you that the most popular beaches and coves are Cala Morisca, Cala Canyelles, Gran Cala Tortuga, Cala den Trons, Cala del frares, Playa de Lloret Cala Banys, Playa de fanals, Boadella and  Santa Cristina. It must be mentioned that most beaches have cliffs which exceed 400 feet.

If you enjoy of peace, this place is ideal, beacause it's not as famous as other turistic centers, but has the same beauty countryside than others. But there are some advantages because Lloret is not as crowded as other turistical towns and the prices are quite lower.

Working hours: Working day begin between 8 and 9 hour in the morning until 13-13.30 and from 16 hours in the afternoon until  19 -19.30 hours (except local administration and banks, which do continuous working day from 8 am until 14 ó 15 hours).

Mealtimes: At Lloret de Mar, like the rest of Spain, people are in the habit of having meals later than the rest of the European countries. Breakfast is between 9 and  11 hours and it's usually very  light. Lunchtime is usually between 13.30 and 15.30 hours and dinnertime is between 20.30 and 22.30 hours. Restaurant mealtimes are usually adapted to all kind of costumers origin, so it's possible to have dinner from 12 to 16 hours as well as dinner from 19 to 23 hours.
